Thanks for sharing, I just entered my 2 wks post op…I am noticing very different opinions from docs and recommending how to sit and sleep? confusing? My doc at 1wk had me stand straight…it hurt, yet glad he did as pain overall left very fast. also has me sleep flat as best as in my bed.. very hard the first two days but huge difference. had a severe recti diatasis and had that completely fixed(very tight) and a full tummy tuck. Thanks again.. BUT WORTH IT! 25april2011

how do you handle coughing and sneezing??

I held a small pillow to my abdomen and sneezed or coughed. Also, it helps if you have someone there that can I apply firm pressure to the pillow :-) I hope you don’t do much of that!

Thank you for your input. Your input about wearing a tank top unerneath the binder was probably the single most useful information I received. I bought some long/thick ones and the cushion everything and made me much more comfortable. Congratulations on your progress. I have had the same great results, only feeling low in energy which I assume will come back slowly.
